Paul Whitton, from Hartlepool, is an experienced sales professional in the manufacturing industry and previously worked for The Expanded Metal Company in a number of roles, over a 35-year period.
His experience includes internal and regional sales roles at The Expanded Metal Company and he previously held the positions of Security Products Sales Manager and Architectural Sales Manager at the Hartlepool, UK-based manufacturer.
After six years away from The Expanded Metal Company working in sales roles for Rockwool Group and gaining experience in fire protection, Paul has returned to the company to support its growth strategy and bring additional expertise to its product development activities.
The Expanded Metal Company develops and manufactures metal mesh products from a 25,000 sqm+ site in Hartlepool, which is an established global centre of expanded metal expertise.
The firm supplies high quality expanded metal mesh products for sectors including construction, filtration, engineering, transport, utilities, automotive, aerospace and architecture. It also serves the security sector and has its own security range, ExMesh™, which offers a wide range of innovative fencing systems and security solutions.
In his previous roles with The Expanded Metal Company, Paul was influential in the development of a number of products including ExMesh™ Securilath™, a security lath designed for installation between walls, ceilings and roofs, as well as Supagrip, a walkway mesh with an exceptional level of grip, making it highly suitable for hazardous environments. He also played a part in delivering the company’s first architectural mesh project at Hong Kong Airport.
